Former Rubanda County West Member of Parliament, Henry Banyenzaki has today withdrawn from the heated up East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) race.
Banyenzaki joins other 10 NRM contestants who have pulled out of the race.
According to the former state minister for Economic Planning and Monitoring, he cannot subject himself to the process because he doesn’t believe in it.
“Am not subjecting myself to this process because I don’t believe in it,” Banyenzaki said.
Banyenzaki’s withdraw comes at a moment when NRM primaries have failed to take yesterday at State House Entebbe due to the disagreements between party’s MPs and the Tanga Odoi’s Electoral Commission over which numbers should be considered for presentation.
