Former state Minister for Agriculture as well as current East African Legislative Assembly ( EALA) contestant Mary Mugyenyi is going to address a press conference today Sunday at 10 am at Ibamba Cultural Centre next to the Uganda Museum.
She will be addressing the edia on NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC)’s decision to send all 43 representatives to caucus and a range of other issues.
Ms Mugyenyi, a two-term legislator in the Ugandan parliament, is one of the leading aspirants to fill Uganda’s nine seats in the regional Assembly. She’s renowned for her passion for gender issues, agriculture and tourism as well as diplomacy and negotiation skills.
The former Nyabushozi MP brings on the table over 10 years of legislation as well as experience from the Pan African parliament where she was a deputy.
