It is no longer a secret that the oldest political party, the Democratic Party( DP) is in its worst days.
From salient wars within the party to members relinquishment for other parties especially NRM.
Recently, the Party National Chairperson, Muhammad Kezaala resigned from the position to take up president Yoweri Museveni’s deputy Ambassador job and just yesterday, the party National Executive Committee (NEC) expelled three of its core members who included the state minister for Youth Nakiwala Kiyingi and Stella Kiryowa.
Now DP activists have released a list of prominent members who quit the party during president General Norbert Mao’s reign.
Apparently, a section of DP members accuse Mao of being the main cause of the party’s current despair.
Vibrant members who have abandoned the party during Mao’s reign include;
1. Ali hajji Ssebagala
2.Mathias Mpuga
3. Latif Ssebagala ( secretly working with nrm)
4. Erias lukwago
5. Mubarak Munyagwa
