Kampala minister Betty Kamya has faulted her boss President Yoweri Museveni for failing to manage the transition to another leader.
Kamya has been under fire for promising another term for Museveni against limitations of the constitution.
Museveni who has ruled Uganda for 30 years and counting, will be more than 75 years old in 2021 and he will not be eligible to stand according to the constitution.
The president has not showed the country his possible successor, but has isolated emerging leaders and defeated them politically.
Kamya while appearing on CBS radio on Saturday, defended her support for Museveni, saying he was better than all the available alternatives. She didn’t apologise for suggesting Museveni could run for president beyond 75 years.
However she said Museveni is to blame for lack of succession plan which might put the country at dangerous crossroads.
