Muslims at Nakasero mosque are asking Inspector General of Police Gen. Kale Kayihura to appear at the mosque in person and apologize for the recent raid on their place of worship.

The muslims, mostly from the Tabliq sect, are also asking the police chief to punish his officers who allegedly provided false information that led to the raid on the mosque.

Yesterday during Juma prayers at Nakasero Mosque, angry muslims conducted prayers asking Allah to punish whoever is falsely accusing them as those fighting them.

18 men were arrested when security forces raided Nakasero mosque. 14 of them were later released last evening while the  four including Former Amir Ummah, Yahya Mwanje have been charged in court with the murder of Sheikh Mohammad Kiggundu.
