Mukono south MP Johjnson Muyanja Ssenyonga beat Lwemiyaga MP Theodore Ssekikubo to become chairman of Buganda Caucus.

Watchdog has been reliably informed that President Museveni through NRM chief whip Ruth Nankabirwa and Kampala Central MP Mohammed Nsereko, spent sh500 million on the event in order to determine who goes through.

In spending that money, Museveni who has his eyes on the political activities of Baganda politicians, and regards Buganda as a highly contested cake, the president want to cripple the caucus, deprive opposition MPs of a platform to voice their opinions.

The president paid for the full board accommodation at the hotel. Every participant however received a million shillings in transport reimbursement and Sh100,000 for night entertainment.
