The ruling party parliamentary caucus is on Friday meeting its chairman President Yoweri Museveni at State House.
Ruth Nankabirwa, NRM chief whip says, the president will today brief MPs about the deliberations he had with the cabinet on Thursday.
Museveni has given his cabinet targets to achieve in five years, among them, making electricity affordable to an ordinary person.
The President yesterday tasked Energy minister Irene Muloni to start negotiations with energy companies in Uganda to come up with the roadmap to cut down energy prices.
Museveni has warned politicians and civil servants that this term is not business as usual. He therefore wants to recruit MPs to put pressure on implementors to fast track his mission.
However, sources have told The Watchdog that some MPs want table a discussion on lifting of the the age cap in the constitution to enable Museveni rule beyond 75 years.
Museveni will in three years time make 75 which means he will be illegible to stand in 2021.
