The parliamentary Committee on Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises(COSASE) has today recovered shs1.8billion from a Chinese Construction company for the ‘work never done’ along Vurra-Arua-Koboko Road.

Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) officials and officials of Chinese firm CCC are yet to appear before COSASE.
Abdul Katuntu, the committee chairperson says the recovered money will be deposited on the collection account at Bank of Uganda.

In October this year, COSASE managed to rescue over shs 26.3 billion from five Chinese construction companies which had swindled money meant to compensate roads work affected people in various parts of Uganda.
