A Ugandan member of parliament has declined his July salary saying, Parliament has done little work and therefore it doesn’t deserve to be paid.

The Bukonzo west  MP Godfrey Katusabe told the deputy speaker Jacob Oulanyah during Thursday plenary that “I was bringing a letter to your office declining my July salary because of lack of work in Parliament.”

Katusabe defeated former defence minister Crispus Kiyonga to come to parliament.
