Michelle Obama will be getting her groove on to Beyonce in James Corden’s next Carpool Karaoke.

The First Lady has appeared in a 60-second teaser for Wednesday night’s Late Late Show, which shows host Corden arriving at the White House for a tour before she gets into his car.

“I hear you’re here for a 1.45 tour and I had a little time on my hands so you want to go for a spin?” she asks him, before reveal that she “rarely” gets to listen to music in the car.

“Do you mind if we listen to music?” she says. “I’ve been in a car maybe months ago with my daughter who learned to drive. That was the only time in seven and a half years that I’ve been in the passenger seat, listening to music and rocking out like this.”

Naturally, such a request calls for a rendition of “Single Ladies” complete with “should have put a ring on it” dance moves. Missy Elliott’s “Get Ur Freak On” can also be heard in the background.

Obama and Corden will also sing “This Is For My Girls”, written by Diane Warren and described as a “girl power anthem” to promote full access to education around the world. It remains unknown whether any of the singers who recorded the song, from Janelle Monae to Kelly Rowland, will join Obama, who launched her Let Girls Learn initiative last year.

The First Lady follows in the footsteps of Adele, Chris Martin, Jennifer Lopez, One Direction and Justin Bieber, all of whom have taken part in Carpool Karaoke.

The full sketch, recorded last month in Washington, will air on theLate Late Show on 20 July.
