The former Makindye court chief magistrate Richard Mafabi who died on Sunday will be laid to rest on Friday in his ancestral village in Sironko district.
According to Solomon Muyita, the judiciary communications officer, “A funeral service will be held at All Saints Church Nakasero in Kampala on Wednesday and will be followed by an overnight vigil at his home in Kampala after the body will be taken to Sironko on Thursday morning.”
Mafabi collapsed and died instantly as he was being rushed to Mukwaya general hospitals in Nsambya.
The magistrate has been mourned largely by opposition leaders including Kizza Besigye and Lord Mayor Kizza Besigye.
