Makerere university council has been advised to establish a serious and competitive business centre to partly enable them earn alternative revenue to pay its staff.
This follows Tuesday’s directive by President Yoweri Museveni to close the university after the lecturers going to strike demanding pay for their incentive arrears.
According to Justice Forum (JEEMA)president, Asuman Basalirwa said the university has got very many untampered resources which can be turned into meaningful investment to generate more revenue. He argues that the university council should be creative enough to look for other sources of income partly to do away with the financial challenges they are facing.
