Kenya police are hunting for a man who was shipping a container full of cocaine to Uganda from Mombasa port.
The man was disguising cocaine estimated at Ush12 billion as sugar.
The shipment said to be coming from Brazil is currently under tight observation as anti-narcotics police verify the contents. The document shows that the shipment came from the Port of Santos in Brazil and was destined for Uganda.
A bill of landing shows that six out of 18 containers that were seized each contained 520 bags of brown sugar packed on June 10.
The reference numbers of the containers are: MEDU6150171, FC1U2538572, CXDU1485416, TGHU0476524, MSCU6712626 and MEDU3967337.
The containers are said to belong to the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC).
