The Minister for Kampala, Beti Kamya has revealed that Kampala Capital City Authority ( KCCA) budget for financial year 2017/ 2018 is expected to be cut by shs160 billion.
While talking to journalists yesterday in Kampala, Kamya said that the deducted money from the budget will be used for other government projects.
This comes at a time when city councillors are demanding for a salary increment alleging that what they are being paid now is too little to enable them sustain their capabilities.
Recently, a faction of councillors had vowed to impeach the minister on grounds that she has never attended any council meeting and that whatever activity she carries out, she decides on her own.
