Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Kahinda Otafiire has requested all judicial officers to end their industrial strike as government harmonizes all workers’ salaries.
During a press briefing at the Media Center on Monday, Otafiire told journalists that a comprehensive pay across government workers will be concluded in October based on equity, sustainability and affordability.
“Cabinet asked public service for a pay structure which is yet to be completed. We therefore ask them to return to work immediately,” he said.
Recently, judicial officers announced an industrial strike citing poor pay and demanded government to address their issues urgently, a move that paralyzed courts of law nationwide.
