Medical workers in Kabale district have asked the government for more hospital equipments to enable them take care of the growing number of patients.

The area has recorded a sharp increase in malaria cases which is mainly affecting women, children and the elderly..The main health centre iv which takes care of the residents if Kabale and the surrounding areas currently has  three beds besides receiving over 200 patients daily.

Dr. Naume Kyomugasho, the head of Kamukisa health centre iv says they are also registering increased cases of miscarriage which she attributes to increasee high prevalence of malaria in the district.
