The Uganda Police Force has come out to refute claims that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kale Kayihura was flown to India due to a deteriorating health condition.
“Reference is made to tye lead article in the Red pepper of 11 th June 2017 and 12th June 2017 and also Kamunye of 12th June 2017, alleging that the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Gen. Kale Kayihura is seriously sick and admitted to India. Consequently social media has carried similar stories some alleging that he was poisoned,” Said Police Spokesperson Asan Kasingye.
According to Kasingye, these are complete false stories invented by people with fertile imagination, there is no aota of truth in these stories.
The IGP is in a very good health and is outside the country on work. The public should ignore these false stories and not be alarmed,”
