Gulu Pastor Benjamin Oteka who was in June sentenced to five years in jail for assaulting and threatening violence against American wife has applied for a bail.

The embattled Oteka is serving his sentence at the Gulu Central Government Prison in Gulu town.

Oteka, 35, was found guilty on two counts of assaulting and threatening violence against his then American wife Carol Ward and another unidentified American national only identified as Lisa.

Carol Ward who is the proprietor of Favour of God Ministries in Gulu and which also owns the now off air Favour FM.

Oteka’s lawyer Henry Komakech wants high court to grant his client bail as he has challenged his conviction.
