At the glamorous evening at Serena Hotel in Kampala, Miss Tourism 2016 contest was finally wrapped up with West Niles’ Eldad Epiaka Odongkara bagging the Crown.


It was a night of splendor that saw 18 beauties from different regions of the country compete for the annual pageant that automatically makes one ambassador for Uganda tourism.


The 23-year-old Eldad Epiaka beat 19-year-old Aleper Pamela from the Karamoja who emerged 1st runners-up followed by a one Racheal Ochole and KIU student 2nd runners-up from Acholi.


Odongkara beat 18 other finalists to become the overall winner of the pageant, taking home a brand new Toyota Ipsum and other prizes.


The ceremony was graced by dignitaries who included Godfrey Kiwanda Ssubi, State minister for tourism,wild life and antiquities, former tourism minister Maria Mutagamva, Edwin Muzahura from Uganda Tourism Board among others.
