The government of Uganda has asked all heads of training institutions to get titles for all their lands to shield them from land grabbers.
This comes as many government departments and institutions are battling with land grabbers who have made it a routine to enchroach their land in different parts of Uganda.
Speaking to the principals of health training institutions in Uganda during their on going nineth annual international conference in Arua ,the state minister for higher Education, John Chrysestom Muyingo asked them to take the initiative of their land, saying opportunists are taking advantage of idle land lying in different places.
” we are asking all our institutions to make sure that the land were they are sitting is surveyed and their land titles developed. For a particular school that doesn’t have the means of doing it let them involve all of us the stakeholders to find a solution so that the land is protected and government is part of the stakeholders, parents and management.
