Milutin Sredojevic Micho is the current Uganda Cranes head coach. He managed to lift the national team to qualify for the ongoing African Cup of Nations tournament in Gabon after 39 years.

Here are some of the things you didn’t know about the successful coach;

1. Micho was born on 1 September, 1969 and he is a Serbian football coach and former player.

2. Micho had his first coaching job in Africa in 2001 with SC Villa, one of the finest football clubs in Uganda. He spent three years at the club.

3. When he departed ways with SC Villa, he coached in Ethiopia,  Sudan, South Africa, Tanzania and Rwanda.

4. On 1 November 2011, Sredojević was unveiled as the new head coach of the Rwanda national team . He was fired on 17 April 2013.
A month after, he was appointed  head coach  for Uganda Cranes  in May 2013.

5. In September,2016  Micho threatened to lay down his tools after spending five months without pay. He was demanding more than shs 250 million.
When Uganda qualified for African cup of Nations tournament after defeating Gabon, President Museveni rewarded the national team with a preparation fund plus clearing Coach Micho’s salary arrears.
