90.4 Dembe FM one of the best urban Luganda radio stations has been re-opened by Uganda Communication Commission (UCC) after spending almost a month of closure.

Last year in December, UCC raided Dembe FM studios at Monitor Publications office in Namuwongo and took away its equipment saying they’re not meeting the required standards.

The officials also claimed some programs didn’t meet the minimum broadcasting standards.

Watchdog understands that the station negotiated with the regulatory body that is why the station was re-opened.

Dembe FM is largely an entertainment and educational radio channels.
