Kasese leaders have expressed mixed reactions over president Museveni’s endorsement of new districts.

Museveni had agreed with the Kasese district NRM caucus resolution to have new districts curved out of Kasese.

New districts would include Bwera, Kikolongo, Hima and Kasese on grounds that it will push for development.

Meanwhile Winnie Kizza, opposition leader and woman MP Kasese said, the decision by Museveni is ill- intentioned.

The Kasese district publicist secretary of NRM caucus, John Kamara said the opposition is acting selfish.

It should be noted, prior the government wanted to have the district divided in 2010-2013 but face maximum resistance from both the opposition and the local communities.
