NTV Uganda this week premiered the Ugandan version of its most successful telenovela, Second Chance.
With just a couple of episodes into the series, some people are loving the drama. Critics say the prime time drama looks promising, but so far it has parts ruined by none other than socialite Anita Fabiola Kyalimpa who’s acting Angella, one of the daughters of the family at the centre of the drama.
“Okay, Angella (Fabiola) and Abigail let down this episode of #SecondChanceUg. Their lack of emotion (when needed) is profound!” posted poet Ms Harriet Anena, on her Facebook page.
And it seems her followers agreed with her assessment.
Ms Betty Kyakuwa, a communications specialist with Makerere university added, “My thoughts exactly Harriet Anena. Angella (Fabiola)…that was a bad case of acting. The emotions aren’t on point yet. At one point a speaks with an accent then at other points she forgets she is from abroad. Something is not right with the talking through the tears.”
