Former Bubulo MP Tonny Nsubuga Kipoi and his colleague who were on Saturday repatriated to Uganda from Botswana following negotiations with ESO, are being detained at Nalufenya Police Facility, confirmed Police Spokesperson Emilian Kayima.

The two were recently arrested in Botswana and charged in court there on two counts of illegally staying in the country and falsely obtaining money from citizens pretending to be traditional doctors.

Authorities in Botswana declared both personal non grata and deported them back to Uganda.

It will be remembered that Kipoi had cases here before he fled the country.

According to Kayima, there were two cases of Human trafficking in Bukedea CRB 393/2013 and treason at CID Headquarters E/439/2012 against Kipoi.

He was arraigned in courts of laws then, remanded but when court granted him bail, he jumped bail, fled the country and has been a wanted person since then.
