Ten years and still shaking all music waves! singer Sheebah Karungi surely fits her ‘Queen Karma’ alias.
Sheebah joined the music industry in 2006 as part of an all girls singing group ‘The Obsessions’ but after parting ways with them, she launched her solo career in 2010 with a debut song called Kunyenyeza.
After struggling for some years, she got her breakthrough later in 2014 with ‘Ice Cream’ and since then, she has been on top of the game with several hit songs like Nkwatako, Mummy Yo, Go Down Low, among others.
However this 10 year success didn’t just happen.Through her social media pages on Tuesday, Sheebah noted that she started off her music journey with no one believing in her, except herself, but she never gave up.
“In 2010, I officially started off my solo career with Kunyenyeza, as my very first song, I look back at that time and all I had was me. Most people didn’t believe in me so it was up to me to believe in myself or give up my dreams,” she said.
Despite looking strong and courageous, Sheebah said that she was sometimes scared but brave enough to get over her fears and chased her dreams no matter how hard and disrespectful it could get sometimes,
“10 years later, I look at where I am today, what I have done with myself, my family, my friends, and the clan of beautiful people I have touched with my music and I just praise GOD. Happy 10years Anniversary Sheebaholics, all this wouldn’t be possible without you my lovers. Thank you for believing in me, understanding me and respecting my privacy.”
