Dembe FM’s DJ Jacob Omutuuze has been advised to stop crying over events promoters’ money because he is not eligible to receive even a single penny from the package.
Last week, promoters received a stimulus package of Shs6.5 billion to help them cover for the losses incurred during the Covid-19 lockdown, but furious Jacob came in the news saying that he didn’t receive his share on the amount yet he also made losses.
But according to renown events promoter Juma Balunywa, Jacob has no reason to complain about the fund because he was compensated earlier.
He explained that when they received their first stimulus package, Jacob received his share, and surprisingly when the Shs6.5 billion came, he still wanted to be compensated again, yet this money was strictly meant for event promoters.
“This money was given to the promoters not everyone who had organised a show. Jacob received money the first time we received a stimulus package and we were told that people who had received money, were not supposed to receive any amount for the second time,” Balunywa said.
On Sunday, Jacob said that he was going to do something stupid if promoters don’t give him a share on the money in question.
“I was the promoter behind #SparkTv MegaFest and I injected more than Shs100m into it so that it could happen. If you see me doing stupid things now days bambi don’t be surprised because you don’t know how it feels when someone Is getting money through your sweat,” he said.
