Journalist Sheila Nduhukire has on Friday said goodbye to NBS TV.
Early this month, Nduhukire landed a new job at National Medical Stores (NMS) as the organisation’s Principal Public Relations Officer.
Nduhukire who has worked at Next Media’s NBS TV for over three years will officially start her new role at NMS on Monday 3rd May, 2021.
She takes over from Dan Kimosho who quit from the position last year to join politics. Kimosho is now the MP elect for Kazo County.
“Starting Monday 3rd May, I start a new phase of my life and career at @nmsuganda as the Principal Public Relations Officer. I am excited for the growth and lessons ahead. Adios, for now, good people, and thank you all for the memories,” she tweeted.
“Thank you to everyone that opened doors for me and allowed me the opportunity to make mistakes, without which I would never have learnt what works/doesn’t work.Thank you @KKariisa for the opportunity to grow my careerTo my mentor @Kalinaki for the hard but necessary lessons. Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”
About Sheila Nduhukire:
Sheila Nduhukire holds two Masters degrees; one in International Public Relations and Global Communications Management from Cardiff University, UK, and another one, an MBA from ESAMI, Arusha Tanzania.
Over the years, she has been providing communication services to a range of government and private institutions in Uganda.
Nduhukire takes over at a time NMS is strengthening its operations including opening a state-of-the-art pharmaceuticals warehouse in Kajjansi and extending its drug supply chain beyond the district headquarters to rural-based health facilities.
NMS recently unveiled plans to install a medical oxygen plant to deal with the shortage of oxygen supply in health facilities.
