Singer ‘Sevo’, has bounced back after several years in the music limbo with, for lack of a better word, a song.
The hit, dubbed Tugarukahare was written and co-produced by Sevo. According to events manager Balaam Barugahare, this song that is bound to ‘move’ listeners was also recorded in Sevo’s personal studio called M7 Records.
The singer made his music breakthrough in 2010 with a song dubbed Another Rap that officially launched his music career. Maybe because of his national duties and responsibilities, Sevo, who also doubles as President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni, went off the scene til Balaam rediscovered him and promised to manage his struggling music career.
During an interview with a local TV station, Balaam claimed that unlike other local artistes who feature half-dressed vixens in videos, Sevo will be featuring things of national importance such as industrialization, infrastructure, stability and other national developments.
Balaam also noted that this song is off Sevo’s six truck ‘Non Stop’ album which will officially be launched next year at the singer’s maiden concert that will be held at Kololo Independence Grounds.
He also bragged that if anyone wants to hire Sevo for any event or show, they should be ready to pay Shs500 million for booking of this music star.
“Our song is currently taking the country by storm. We have sold one million copies so far with two million views. This is the first song to sell one million copies in only two days and it is by the president of Uganda,” Balaam stated.
