Singer Patrick Senyonjo aka Fresh Kid has proved that he is not only good with the mic, but also good in books, this after emerging as the best pupil in his Primary Two class during the end of third term exams at Kampala Parents School (KPS).
The eight-year-old rapper was recently awarded a full bursary at KPS courtesy of Ruparelia Foundation to help him attain a good education and also maintain his developing music career.
And surely he has not disappointed as his teachers announced on Thursday that the ‘bambi’ singer was promoted to primary three with flying colors after topping his class.
The singer attained this scholarship after the State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs Nakiwala Kiyinji ordered him to drop the mic, following rumors that the singer wasn’t attending school.
This is when Ravij Ruparelia, one of the Directors of KPS came in to support the ‘little man’s music career and education, thus offering him a full bursary till when he finishes primary school.
“I was moved by his ambition being only seven years old. I would love to see him succeed because he is an inspiration to many young people out there hence, we are presenting this young man with a full scholarship from the Ruparelia Foundation to go to Kampala Parents School,” Rajiv said recently.
