All shades of glamour, pop, and class converged at Kampala Serena Hotel for the innagural Nsiimye Thanksgiving dinner.
Organised by Kampala Serena Hotel, Kwagalana group, Johnny Walker, Bullion Events, the dinner took place on Saturday and registered a great attendance, as several people – employeers, employees, parents, friends, among others – showed up to give thanks to people who made a positive impact on their lives.
And to create a big vibe, the night also saw performances from several stars such as Patrick Salvador, Maddox Sematimba, Naava Grey, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Myko Ouma, Kenneth Mugabi, Jose Sax, and Steve Keys among others.
According to Bullion Events spokesperson, it’s always nice to give thanks to people who do something to change people’s lives.
“We thank all our fans who took time off their daily routines to indulge in the night of recognizing and celebrating those that have been instrumental in making the walk through 2019 worthwhile. Let’s keep together for the incoming next year’s show,” Yvonne said.
Annette Nakiyaga, the Head of Luxury Whisky Portfolio UBL, added that this dinner will be held annualyl to appreciate works of specific people.
“This is a calendar event introducing a whole new culture where we give thanks and appreciate those we value. We had the chance to reflect with friends, families and work colleagues who have walked with us on our year-long journey and who are worthy of recognition,” she said.
This kind of celebration has not been much considered in Uganda, but some countries like United States of America (USA), Canada, and Netherlands among others acknowledge this day so much and consider it as a day to give thanks and sacrifice for blessings of the harvest from the preceding year.
