Ever since he met with President Yoweri Museveni recently, singer Edrisa Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo believes that he has the rights to make demands.
From being ‘Uganda’s biggest music export’ to winning several international awards like BET, African Entertainer Award, Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award among others, Kenzo has ‘done a lot’ for the country and the least government can do for him is giving him a lead car and security.
During an interview at NBS television, Kenzo claimed that there are many people who have not done anything for the country but have lead cars, why not him who has done a lot!
“Do you believe that I deserve a lead car to go before me? What have all those that have them done for the country? Don’t I deserve it? For God and my country, I need more security and protection,” Kenzo said.
Kenzo was one of the artistes who were against government but after encountering multiple problems, the singer bowed to pressure and begged to meet the President for some assistance.
After meeting the President last month, Kenzo’s view of the failed government systems that he sang about in his song ‘Volongoto’ changed the moment he left State House.
“I was shaking the moment I reached in front of the President. Truth is he was hated by the message portrayed in my Volongoto song. He even asked me if I wasn’t taught manners for at his age, he is worth to be my father. He even taught me that if one wants something, he needs to request for it politely not through threats,” Kenzo said recently.
