Struggling singer Paul Mutabaazi alias Fresh Daddy has joined the artiste management business, to help upcoming artistes become stars too.
During an interview with Spark TV, Fresh Daddy said that his ‘Fresh Daddy Mazike Service/Entertainment’ label will focus on promoting artistes with promising music career, but only those who passed senior four will be signed.
“I opened up Fresh Daddy Mazike Service/Entertainment to help young musicians as I was also helped when coming up. If anyone wants to register with my label, they must have passed S.4,” he said.
For just a few months in the industry with zero success, Fresh Daddy believes that he has the potential to make other artistes stars, and so far, his label has already signed one artiste called Sera.
The 50-year-old singer gained fame as the father of kid star Fresh Kid (Patrick Senyonjo), before him realizing that he was also good at singing.
Fresh Daddy later joined the industry with help from his manager and singer Kalifa Aganaga, who helped him record several songs which include Mazike, Obuchupa among others.
Though many claimed that he will not go far with music, the former manicurist requested people to give him a chance to venture in the industry, for he saw self as the next big thing in Uganda’s music industry.
“This is to all music lovers in the industry. Please don’t deny me a chance it’s never too late and the bible talks about a woman who gave birth at the age of 90, I am looking for money in the right way without hurting anyone,” she said recently.
