Singer Eddy Kenzo has revealed that he has decided to cease fire in a verbal war between him and controversial Muslim cleric Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata who told him to go and marry his mother.
The head of Da’awah Kibuli Muslim faction recently attacked Kenzo after being dumped by long time lover lover Rema Namakula.
“These love niggers can only show off but don’t marry. All they say is ‘we are still making a review’, ‘you know a woman has to be like my mother’, are you stupid? Okay go and marry your mother,” Muzaata said during his congratulatory message to Rema and her new husband Dr Hamza Sebunya at their Kukyala ceremony last Wednesday.
He went ahead to call Kenzo gay during an interview with nbs TV’s uncut show.
The ‘Sitya Loss’ singer and his fans online had since tasked Muzaata to swallow his pride and apolgise over his unjust statements.
Now, in a social media post on Friday, the 2015 BET award winner said he has decided to cease fire following advice from a number of elders in the country.
“I have been advised that there are his enemies who might use this opportunity to kill him and put it on me. He might die and I am imprisoned over something I don’t know. I was advised to cease fire,”Kenzo said.
He disclosed that he was approached by the Buganda Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga, Supreme Mufti, Sheikh Kasule Ndirangwa, Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, State Minister for Ethics, Fr. Simon Lokodo among other dignitaries.
“I also ask my fans to cease fire.”
Kenzo further revealed why he had insisted that Muzaata should apologise to him.
“When he attacked me, I was so hurt because he was my role model, Muzaata was the sheikh I liked most in this country but when he abused me, I couldn’t believe it.”
