Media personality and events Emcee Edwin Katamba alias MC Kats has been fired from Fame Lounge, a Kololo based night hangout, where he has been working as the External Marketing Personal.
The nbs TV’s After 5 host has been hosting the ‘Meet Celebrity Wednesday’, a night that hosts different celebrity performances, music premiers, meet and greet events among others.
According to the notice shared by Fame Lounge on Monday, Kats has been fired because of his unbearable behaviors, belittling of the hangouts management and customers.
“Management has tried their best to contain his unbearable behavior for instance the persistent taking of stock on credit and refusal to clear his bill thereafter. To retaliate more, he always belittled management with phrases like ‘I only fear God’,” reads Fame’s notice in parts.
They further expressed that Kats has constantly failed to deliver on his side; he has never made sales on his night that equal to Shs3 million, yet they pays him Shs1.5 million for his services every Wednesday.
In response to the development, kats rushed on social media to defend himself, claiming that he found when Fame was making Shs400,000 on Wednesday, and because of him, they are now making Shs8 million to Shs10 million in one night.
“Meet Celebrity Wednesday won’t happen this week at Fame Kampala. We will tell you our new home next week, it’s my idea and it’s registered with my Lawyers. Let’s see why Siesta left Fame. I will do TV interviews soon. Got this bar making 400K on Wednesday, I was making 8 to 10M for them,” he noted.
Furious about his contract termination, Kats bragged that he isn’t from a broke family but he choose to work with them because he is passionate about bar business.
‘I have worked in the Bar business for close to 15 years my CV at Guvnor Uganda, Rouge, Club Sway with Rajiv Ruparelia, Nexus Lounge. I have never been fired but when you treat me like I’m not making you money, I walk. Am not from a broke family but I choose this Road because it’s what I love.”
