If there is any artiste who knows the feeling of ‘from hero to zero’ in the music industry, that would definitely be singer Richard Kasendwa aka Ziza Bafana.
Who can forget those days when Bafana was ruling all music charts with songs like Pomini, Bantu Baffe, Akalulu, Batufitina among others? He was booked on every show in and around town! Remember how this found fame forced the singer to title himself ‘Katonda wa ragga’, but currently he is just a shadow of his old self.
Now from that experience ‘hero to zero’, Bafana has advised fellow struggling singer King Michael to stop crying foul on social media after fans failing to turn up for his show that happened recently at Freedom City.
Given his once hit songs like Muko Muko, Kwata Kwata among others, King Michael thought that he was ‘star’ enough to hold a show at Freedom City, but it totally flopped beyond repair thus leaving him in debts.
Through his social media platform on Thursday, Bafana told King Michael to wipe his tears and remember that many people have been through the situation that he is facing now.
“King Michael, I advise you to please wipe away those tears that you are shedding because such things happen. I now dedicate to you my ‘Ebizibu’ song that I released a while ago. I hope it will console you through this moment,” he said.
A few days back the singer cried out for help from the NRM government, claiming that the party should provide him a financial bailout to settle his debts.
“I have been abused and criticized for supporting NRM but the party has not been supportive on my side. I don’t want my party to be discriminative, I would like the president to intervene in my situation because I have a lot of debts, I’m on the run,” King Michael revealed.
