If you missed throwing bottles at Paul ‘Fresh Daddy’ Mutabazi as he performed – or is it failed to impress – at Aero Beach over the weekend, well you might never get another chance.
Here is why.
After the father of kid rapper Fresh Kid suffered the embarrassment of having to leave the stage amidst a barrage of flying water bottles, he rushed straight to the studio and, well recorded a new song dubbed ‘Obuchupa’.
An improvement from his debut one verse song ‘Mazike’, Obuchupa, is miles ahead in lyrical composition and he flows along with the reggae beats. Kind of.
In the new song, he makes it clear to haters that he is not bothered by what they have to say about his music career. He also claimed that everyone who hates his music is a loser.
“I am Fresh Daddy, many talk a lot of bad things about me, they hit me with bottles to force me drop music, but I am strong like a Russian engine, I am going to give you hits songs and you’ll fear. We work a lot during day and party all night long, music has medicine and I don’t want to be a bore, music has a secret so eat your money, give money, chop money and enjoy your money,” he sings, loosely translated from the local dialect of Luganda.
Fresh Daddy’s debut song received a lot of criticism from social media and music critics. Before the Aero Beach debacle, he was once bounced out of Wave Lounge Kololo by MC Kats who claimed that his music is killing the music industry.
Obuchupa (bottles) was produced by Eno Beats. Hopefully it help him remain relevant.
