Paul Mutabaazi aka Fresh Daddy, the father of rapper Fresh Kid has officially released his debut song ‘Mazike.’ The song was recorded last week under Bad Character Records.
Mutabaazi recently revealed intentions of dropping his manicure business for music, with hopes of having a financial breakthrough in the entertainment industry.
And with help from struggling singer Kalifah Aganaga, who also happens to be his manager, the first of many songs is out.
In the song Fresh Daddy claims that just like the many who go abroad for work, he also came to Kampala for the Shs50.000 note (Mazike), just like his celebrity son.
The 50-year-old ‘new kid’ on the block, promised not to stop at singing, but he has also started taking piano lessons, and claimed that he has plans of becoming a producer very soon so that he starts working on his son’s music too.
On Friday, ‘manager’ Kalifah told nbs during an interview that his artiste (Fresh Daddy) will not be performing for free, for he has already set a price for anyone who would want to hire him for an event.
“Currently, if someone wants to hire Fresh Daddy for any event, the singer is available and he will be performing for a fee ranging from Shs500,000 to one million. I have already printed his receipt books,” Kalifah said.
And despite being criticized for using Fresh Kid’s father just to keep himself in the news, Kalifah claimed that he just want more money in his pocket.
“My body wants more sleep, but my pocket wants more money, blessed week to you all and those who abuse me. Mazike Video loading soon #FreshDaddy,” Kalifah noted through his social media platform on Monday,
