On Monday, Queen Sheebah Karungi officially entered her mansion in a glamorous home coming party that attracted the ‘who is who’ in the entertainment world.
The five-bedroom house with a view of Lake Victoria, aptly named ‘Queendom’, is located in Munyonyo, and is estimated to have cost her between Shs600m to Shs750m.
Back to the point at hand.
The ‘Jealousy’ singer is said to have sent out invitations to all major labels such as Leone Island, Fire Base, Gagamel, Goodlife, Swangz Avenue.
She also sent invites to individual artistes such as Cindy Sanyu.
To her astonishment, many did not even bother to RSVP her. Not even Carol Nantongo with whom she shares a hit collabo, ‘Silwana’ made it to the party.
Only a few who had been promised free cocktails such as TNS musicians, Swangz Avenue bosses and artistes Irene Namubiru, Ykee Benda, Alex Muhangi, Ann Kansiime and Salvador showed up.
Now, we are yet to find out whether we should blame this on ‘jealousy’ or artistes’ tight schedules but we hope they had a valid reason not to celebrate this achievement with the ‘girl from Kawempe.
Speaking of Kawempe, Sheebah, who was thankful to her manager Jeff Kiwa, told guests that she used to be ‘ashamed to take people to our Kawempe home’.
“It is God’s work. I took a one-way ticket straight from Kawempe to Munyonyo,” she said.
A guest was overheard saying, “We pray she does not lose sleep over the missing invited guests but go ahead to enjoy the fruits of her labour,”
