Child rapper Patrick Senyonjo alias Fresh Kid has cried out to his management and family to stop fighting over his talent because in return they might make him “a victim”.
Through his latest song dubbed ‘Victim’, the seven-year-old rapper claims that the book of his future is still on its first page and he would love to read it till the end, but hates it that some pages he loves reading the most are currently being plucked out.
“When you argue and fight, Fresh Kid ends up as a victim, Mr Talent I am calling you because you’re the person who started this, You are the main person that’s why I am even singing this. God help me so that where everything ends I don’t end up a victim” Fresh Kid sings.
The singer who this time has better polished lyrics and get the rhythm right, alleges that all he wants is music and education, but his talent is currently hanging in balance given everything that is surrounding him these days.
“It wasn’t my intention; I never meant to cause this tension; my talent is my vision; but it’s like my talent has turned into poison. Mr Talent where are you, I am calling you to please come and explain to the nation, tell them that you are very delicate and when they don’t handle you properly you can get lost,” the rapper laments.
This would be Fresh Kid’s second pity song after Bambi, which was directed at Minister Nakiwala Kiyingi, who had ordered him to drop the microphone and focus on education. Then he cried to the Minister about his dreams of becoming a superstar just like Emmanuella and Dj Arch.
This worked out for him as the Minister pardoned, and allowed him to continue with his music provided he stays in school. And just when we thought everything was done, ‘profit sharing’ bought new troubles between Fresh Kid’s family and his management (De Texas).
Fresh Kid’s song writer 14k Bwongo alleged that ever since the rapper’s father Paul Mutabaazi started poking his nose in son’s music career, all plans they had set for the rapper started to change for the worse.
Bwongo, also a member of ‘De Texas management’ noted that these constant disagreements are the main reason why the rapper had spent months without releasing music, and it could be a root of Fresh Kid’s down fall.
During an interview recently, he alleged that when Mutabaazi took the rapper from his manager Francis Kamoga, it has been constant disagreements, thus putting the Kid’s music career on the age.
Possibly all misunderstandings have been settled and ‘Victim’ will be a big come back for this rapper, after almost three months of a ‘music break’.
