Swangz Avenue’s singer Veronica Lugya, or ‘Vinka’ is currently on Cloud 9, after signing a record deal with Sony Music Entertainment.
Sony Music Entertainment is an American global music conglomerate owned by Sony Cooperation. It’s considered to be one of the biggest record companies in the world.
In Uganda, Sony has worked with artistes Naava Grey and Keko among others.
With just two years in the music industry, the Malaika singer has added another big achievement to her music career despite being a continued victim of social media bullying, Vinka will be working with both Swangz Avenue and Sony Music to boost her music career.
Vinka broke through in the music industry in 2017 with her song dubbed Malaika, and since then, the singer has recorded several hit songs like Sure, Chips na Ketchup, Tubikole, Omukwano gwo among others.
Swangz Avenue shared their excitement about this news, as they penned down a congratulatory message to their artiste on Tuesday evening.
“Congratulations Vinka upon your exclusive recording contract with Sony. We are so proud of you and what we have achieved so far in just two years. We are very excited to have Sony joining hands with us to propel your brand to new heights. This new partnership is evidence that you haven’t put a foot wrong since you started and we are committed to even do more with this new development.”
