Events promoter Balaam Barugahare has had it rough on social media after lecturing songstress Vinka about the worth of South Sudan’s currency.
Over the weekend, Swangz Avenue’s Vinka held a successful show in Juba, South Sudan and took her excitement on social media to share the news with her fans.
She posted a picture of herself sleeping in piles of money that her Sudanese fans had splashed on stage during her performance.
“They made it rain on me… it’s not the amount that matters but the love from my Juba fans. #sold-out,” reads the caption.
But as her fans were congratulating and praising her efforts, Balaam also joined the conversation and started lecturing Vinka how South Sudan’s money is worthless, so she doesn’t have to count self a millionaire with South Sudan Currency.
“Maximum in UGX is 235,000. One dollar is equivalent to 260 ssp/ South Sudan Pound. Never the less her fans expressed love the economy is bleeding the standard of living in juba is too high,” Balaam commented.
This comment was considered disrespectful to Vinka’s hard work. This is when fans started throwing jabs at Balaam, asking him to stop being Jealous at the young girl. Some advised him to mind his business.
