Singer A Pass has defended fellow artiste Gravity Omutujju, who was allegedly shot twice in the stomach, from criticism that the incident was a stunt.
A Pass, who was speaking during an interview on a local radio station claimed that sometimes the public is quick at judging and arriving at conclusions especially on things that happen in celebrities’ lives.
He claimed that when he gets into an argument with Bebe Cool people think that they want to make news headlines; when he posts about his fun time, people term it as comedy, and when Gravity Omutujju was shot, social media called it a stunt.
“I have been seeing it on news how people are pinning Gravity Omutujju’s gunshot incident for a stunt. But really, can police and Rubaga Hospital gets concerned or involved if he wasn’t wounded? People are really judging him unfairly too,” he said.
Omutujju was on February 20 reported shot after allegedly being involved in an altercation with a private security guard, Amos Muhewa, in Kasanda District ahead of a show.
But given the nature of the wounds, and how the ‘Mbuzi Zakutudde’ singer posed for photos after the incident with bloodless plaster, several people have come out to claim that this could be a stunt for the singer to grab a few minutes of fame.
But after the incident, where two bullets allegedly glazed Omutujju’s stomach, the singer was rushed to Rubaga Hospital for further treatment in an ambulance courtesy of Mityana Municipality Legislator Francis Zaake.
