Now we all know that the once Raggae and Ragga heavy weight, Daniel Kazibwe alias Ragga Dee was meant to sing. And not try to represent people in Parliament or City Hall as a politician.
That is why we shall welcome news that he is planning a big comeback to claim his position in the entertainment industry when he drops a 50-track album.
Do not laugh.
With his timeless songs like Letter O, Mbawe, Empeta, Oyagala Sente, Digida among other, early 2000’s were definitely Ragga Dee’s years, and for that, he is sure that there are some loyal fans who are still ready to receive his music.
And starting early March, Ragga Dee hopes to prove to young artistes that old is indeed gold.
During Swangz Avenue’s Roast and Rhymes ninth edition over the weekend at Jahazi Pier, Munyonyo, the veteran artistes told those who cared to listen that so many people had been missing his music and stage performances.
And for that reason, the ‘political failure’ was to put politics aside and concentrate more on music.
Ragga Dee dropped his music career for active politics and contested for Kampala Lord Mayor’s seat in 2016 elections under the NRM card. Unfortunately, he lost to Erias Lukwago.
