Winnie Nwagi is on verge of leaving the industrial area based Swangz Avenue, our sources have revealed. This after her managers failed to convince event promoters to organise a concert for the curvaceous singer.
According to sources, Nwagi who joined Swangz in 2014, is not as marketable and event promoters think that she does not have the capacity of holding a successful concert of her own.
but even with songs like Musawo, Fire dancer, Magic and her current club banger Mataala
And that even though Swangz Avenue also engages in event promotions, the firm also seems to be in doubt about the potential of the Mataala singer and are reluctant to invest in her.
“Swangz refused to fulfill Nwagi’s concert wish but they had promised to negotiate with other event promoters to organise for her a concert. Howerver, it looks like all promoters have turned down the negotiations,” the source told Wathcdog.
“What is surprising is that Musa Kavuma, the CEO of KT Events is a close friend to Julius Kyazze (Swangz Avenue boss). We thought that he will accept (to organise a show) but he has also declined the deal claiming that chances of Nwagi staging a successful concert are very minimal.”
This has forced Nwagi to threaten to leave Swangz Avenue, if they do not organize for her a concert, alleging that all young artistes that came after her like Spice Diana, Chosen Becky, Ykee Benda, among others have organised concerts of their own.
Nwagi claims that the management is currently paying less attention to her music career, as all efforts are shifted to Vinka. And that currently all she needs to prove if the label is still interested in her, is a maiden concert.
