Makerere Community Church Pastor, Martin Ssempa almost went bare knuckles with motor mouthed Fire Base Singer Jenipher full figure.
In a viral video clip, Full Figure hijacked Pastor Ssempa in Mengo, after his interview with BBS Telefayina over the weekend, and asked him what his problem is with Bobi Wine and his Tuliyambala Engule song.
“Pastor, Uganda has had many problems for years like, massive killing of people, kidnapping of women, forceful arrests and poor manhandling of people during the Arua fracas, why did you keep quiet at that time, and currently with Engule song you are acting all concerned?” asked Full Figure.
In his defense, Pastor Ssempa said that just like Musa in the Bible, he was in hiding during that time when some horrible things happened to Ugandans, preparing for a comeback, and when Tuliyambala Engule was released, he was forced to comeback from his hiding.
“I have been in hiding for two years, ever since we passed the Uganda Anti Homosexuality act 2014, my life has been at risk something that forced me to go into hiding, so that I can later come back stronger like Musa in the Bible” said Ssempa.
Full Figure also pins Pastor Ssempa for keeping quiet when other artistes like Judith Babirya changed church song, Omwoto, Mesach Semakula and Dr Hilderman recording a new version of ‘Nina Omukwano Gwange’, but he is currently on Bobi Wine’s neck over Tuliyambala Engule.
However, despite the heated verbal fight, Ssempa vowed not to let Bobi Wine get away with politicizing a gospel song for his selfish reasons, as he confirmed sending a letter to Uganda Electoral Commission prohibiting any politician from Using Tuliyambala Engule song.
Tuliyamba Engule was officially released and first performed on 31 December 2018 at ‘Enkuuka’. In this song, the Kyadondo East Legislator Robert Kyagulanyi featured several artistes like Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Irene Ntale, Hilderman, Irene Namatovu, Nubian Li, King Saha, Ronald Mayinja among others.
