Mr Lee, Delivad Julio and Bobby Lash famously known as B2C have vowed to continue using their stage name, despite calls by former manager Andrew Mugerwa.
While speaking to Douglas Lwanga on ‘NBS After 5’ earlier this week, Mugerwa, or Andy Events, said he would strip the singing trio of the name B2C because he is the rightful owner of it.
B2C and Andy Events went separate ways in November after working together for three years.
This after the manager reportedly refused to pay the singers following a successful maiden concert at Freedom City.
But when Watchdog Uganda reached out to the trio, they admitted seeing the news that Mugerwa is claiming the name B2C, but he has not personally told them about the matter.
”B2C is our name and Mugerwa knows it. B2C is legally registered and has three Directors, Mugisha Richard (Mr Lee), Kasagga Julius (Delivad Julio) and Ssali Peterson (Bobby Lash), we also have the legal documents that confirms that B2C is our company,” they said.
They explained that even before working with Andy Events, they were known as B2C, and that Mugerwa found the name in existence. Now we don’t know why he is claiming its ownership.
“When we were still in high school at Crested Secondary School, Makindye, we used to perform at every school party as B2C. Mugerwa started working with us in 2015 when the name was already known by everyone who knew our music, so we don’t know why he says that the name belongs to him,” they said.
However, Mugerwa is not planning to stop, as he promised to, unveil another singing group to replace B2C.
