Musician Maro one of the biggest stars in the local music industry is thinking high.
He has started a new campaign dubbed ‘zero jiggers in Uganda’ through which he hopes to eradicate these parasitic infections across the country.
He has even done a song to back this campaign which he calls ‘Tundula’ and he is partnering with a public health specialist from America called Evan Stout plus a community health worker called Gideon Muwawu to make it all happen.
The campaign will start in his jigger infested backyard in Busoga and will spread across the country as they intend to treat kids with this problem get them shoes to protect them from reinfection and try to get them back into school.
