Rubaga South MP cum musician Kato Lubwama has advised young artistes to always listen to the advice of old artistes if they are to last long in the industry as the likes of Mesach Ssemakula and him who have stood the test of time.
Kato Lubwama advised the young artistes to avoid singing songs that won’t last for long saying these are not good for career growth and sustenance in the industry.
He said that many of the youngsters made names by repeating old songs and remixing them which shows art is timeless and therefore they should respect old timers like them who understand the music business and entertainment world.
The legislator also added that he was impressed by the discipline and respect Spice Diana accorded him when she chose not to criticise or answer him when he said her song with Weasel 32 was a terrible one.
However when it came to Weasel, Kato Lubwama said he was not at all impressed by the insults directed towards him by the singer although he said he will not respond since Weasel is still a young man with a lot to learn unlike him a respectable artiste and politician with a big name and reputation to protect.
