One of Swangz Avenue proprietor, Benon Mugumbya has revealed that Irene Ntale’s departure from the record label was a shock and the development somehow affected members.
During an interview with one of the local newspapers, Benon said he was so shocked on learning that the songstress was leaving the group and It also affected all members somehow because as an artiste, she was playing a big role in promoting and mentoring the young artistes at Swangz and she was working closely with Winnie Nwagi, Zulanda, Black Skin and Joel Kisakye. She inspired them to work hard.
“I was actually shocked because I have always thought that Ntale leaving Swangz would be the last thing to happen but this is life, people come and go,” Benon said.
When asked about whether he could take Ntale if she came back begging,Benon said he doesn’t see Ntale coming back because she cannot fail musically due to her aggressiveness and enough knowledge she has about music.
“I don’t see Irene failing musically. She is aggressive and she has enough knowledge about the music Industry. For the years we worked with her, we made sure we empowered her not only musically but we taught her to survive on her own,” Benon asserted.
